The short version, in plain words.
The live site’s footer has always linked here; this page now answers.
The service
Signature.direct lets member senders upload PDF documents, place signature fields, and send them to signers through secure links. Signers sign in a browser without an account. Every completed document is sealed and delivered with a completion certificate recording who signed, when, and their consent.
Electronic signatures
Signers consent to sign electronically. Electronic signatures are legally recognized in the United States under the federal ESIGN Act and state UETA laws. Signature.direct provides the signing record; it does not provide legal advice, and senders are responsible for the content and enforceability of their own documents.
Accounts
Accounts are issued by invitation and are personal to the member business. Early-access accounts are free with every feature included and no per-envelope fees; when paid plans arrive, early members keep a locked founding price.
Acceptable use
Send only documents you have the right to send, to people who expect them. Signing links are tied to one recipient; don’t share someone else’s link. A sent document can be voided by its sender, which immediately disables its links.
Your documents
Your documents remain yours. You may download them at any time, and they go with you if you leave.
